I purchased this cooler as a gift for my wife. I looked at some reviews and thought it a good value for what she needed in a first wine cooler. Boy was I wrong!

At first, it seemed like a good unit. Quiet and efficient. After about 15 months - just out of warranty, of course - it stopped working correctly. It ran all the time and didn't keep the temperature correctly in the bottom half of the unit. I took the back apart and found a blinking LED on the circuit board that I couldn't resolve

This is just to add fodder for the other negative reviews on this product. Mine stopped working after 16 months. I called the company's customer support and was told I needed a new powe module - cost about $27.00. The only catch is that Edgestar doesn't stock spare power modules. Amazon should discontinue offering this product line on their website. Selling junk such as this product will eventually hurt their reputation. Reading the other reviews should be a clue. Product support is worthless.

My unit has completely failed. It's dead...and just after 15 months. the manufacturer will not help me out because it is past it's 1 year warrenty period. The company gave me horrible service when Ii called to inquire about getting assistence. I would highly recommend looking at other brands and the only reason I rated this a "one star" is because zero star's wasn't an option. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF LIKE I DID!!!

I got this as a gift but BUYER BEWARE. It stopped working completely after 6 months. It will cost more to fix it than to invest in a new one that probably works better and will last longer. Now that I read the reviews I know that fixing it won't help - its a piece of junk. AND Edgestar - your custoner service sucks!

I have had the same experience as many of the other owners. I should have heeded the warnings.

Bottom line: This fridge is great for the brief lifetime it works. In terms of technology, there really
should be no reason that this fridge can't last at least 10 years. I believe that it is very poorly/cheaply
made, and that is the reason for the short lifetime.

I am disappointed, as this was a gift for my parents and now it is useless.

Same story as others are having. It worked great for one year, then stopped cooling. We called the service center and they suggested that we need to replace the cooling nodes. Two cooling nodes will cost us $60 plus s.h. It's probably not worth fixing.

This unit worked great for a couple months, but then started "overcooling". I drink more red wine than white so set the lower, larger area to 64 degrees. It suddenly started overcooling so much that it never gets above 56 degrees. The upper area is the same way and it keeps the wine way too cold - 52 at most. I might as well put it in the refrigerator and save the space in my kitchen!

When I emailed the customer support, they said I could either have a local service provider repair it at my

Beautiful 2 Zone Wine Cooler:
It looks great, it is silent, it cools the wine bottles, it is easy to operate and we had no problems at all with this wine fridge. No Cons whatsoever. I highly recommend this fridge.

When this unit was working it worked well. The problem is that it failed in less than one year of use. The top zone now fails to control the temp. We have it set to 60 but the actual temp is 45. We bought the unit via Compact Appliances seller. We opted for a 2 year extended service plan but the problem is that there are no EdgeStar service centers in South West Florida. Compact Appliances failed to tell us that. Our recommendation is to stay away from this model from EdgeStar or avoid EdgeStar completely. The Repair Master Service Plan is useless because they can't find a service provider that will fix the unit.

I've had my fridge for a little over a year now. It is no longer working. When I tried to contact the company, all I got was a sales guy on chat. No warranty, so I'm out of luck. Now my question is try to fix or just start over with a new one. I will not buy this brand again.

I ordered this as a present, and read a lot of reviews. There are so many negative product reviews for wine fridges, I really didn't know what to buy. So, let me put your fears to rest:

1) This fridge is really quiet. In an empty room with no AC on, you can't hear it.

2) It's beautiful. Really nice stainless finish, we get lots of compliments on it. On par with Cuisinart models we've seen at Macy's, but bigger.

3) No assembly except putting on the handle. Hallelujah!!!

4) Consistent temperature - the temp holds steady and does not reset when exposed to sunlight, or when the room is warm. It's really easy to read the temp setting, really easy to set, and it works like a dream. You can feel the difference in temperature between the 2 zones.

Dollar for dollar, this was competitively priced. I really liked my interaction with Compact Appliance. They were great. And, we're SO happy with it.

Hope you will be too.
