The biggest differences product feature wise is that the Vinotemp VT 16TEDS and Danby DWC1646BLSC wine coolers have digital thermostat controls and LED displays, while the Edgestar TWR160S Wine Cooler has a manual thermostat dial. Also, the Danby DWC1646BLSC wine cooler is designed as a countertop wine refrigerator while the Vinotemp VT 16TEDS and Edgestar TWR160S are designed as free standing wine fridges.
The combination of Danby DWC1646BLSC’s digital thermostat, LED display and lowest price point gives it an edge from a pure price and product feature comparison. Further, the Danby DWC1646BLSC has received good satisfaction ratings from purchasers.
Lastly, it should be noted that Vinotemp is a highly respected and wine cooler brand, however, the Vinotemp VT 12TEDS 2Z only carries a 90 day warranty versus 9 months and one year for the Danby and Edgestar products.
Note: The satisfaction rating is based on multiple review sources. It is calculated by adding all of the 4 & 5 ratings and then dividing by the sum of the 1, 2, 4, & 5 ratings (i.e. a 3, or average ratings is not given any weight). If a product is rated NR, there are not enough reviews to be statistically relevant.
