What is a
dual zone wine cooler or wine refrigerator? As the name implies, a dual zone wine cooler has two independently controlled temperature areas within the cooling unit. This allows wine storage at different temperatures within the same unit. If you enjoy both red and white wine, and typically keep several bottles of both on hand, a dual zone wine cooler could be very beneficial.
Wine storage temperatures vary between different wines. Red wines are best stored and served at temperatures between 50 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Most white wines are best stored and served at temperatures between 45 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
A dual zone wine cooler refrigerator allows storage of red wine at around 55 degees in one of the two temperature compartments, while simultaneously storing whites in the other zone at 50 degrees or below. Wines that are stored and aged at their optimal temperatures better preserve their flavors and aroma for a longer periods of time. A dual zone wine cooler, with its separate temperature controls and displays for each zone, is the best way to store both red and whites simultaneously.
